One of London’s most iconic pubs, the Counting House also has 15 beautiful bedrooms providing the perfect base from which to explore the City of London. Housed in what was once the City University Club, a gentlemen’s club established in 1895, the bedrooms opened in early 2019.
Finished to the highest specifications, including 1800 pocket sprung mattresses, the finest Egyptian cotton linen & Nespresso machines as standard, these luxurious rooms promise the most comfortable of stays.
You’ll have access to free unlimited Wi-Fi and the rooms are air-conditioned ensuring the perfect temperature throughout the year. Breakfast is included in the rate too, so you’ll always have a freshly prepared hot breakfast waiting for you in the morning.

Accessibility
The Counting House is a wonderful Grade II listed former bank. There is level access into the pub, and there is also an accessible toilet located at the rear of the pub on the ground floor. The additional dining areas on the upper floors are served by stairs only.
The Counting House has 21 beautiful hotel bedrooms, two of these are accessible. There is a small step into the hotel entrance hall and a ramp is available on request. There is a lift serving the hotel rooms only, however due to the historic nature of the building, the lift car is restricted in size and cannot accommodate a standard sized wheelchair.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy differs based on the rate type booked. Please check your booking confirmation to see which you booked.
Flexible Rate/Weekend Special Rate - If cancelled by 12 noon the day of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Advance Rate - Pre-paid, non-refundable rate. If cancelled or in case of a no-show, the full payment will be retained.
Change a Booking
If you have made a reservation with us directly (either through our website, over the phone, or in person) please email or call us to modify or cancel your booking. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page. If you have booked through a travel agent or other online booking service, you will need to contact them to request your change or cancellation.
